2011-05-29 Follow the sun
I couldn't sleep so I decided to go for a ride and search for the sun.
I planned on pre running the route I made for the ride for sight to be sure it was big bike/fully loaded friendly. I made my first stop at Dorrar Rake (inside joke) but there wasn't much to see there. Not even any Japanese tourists. One part of the route ended up being a dead end even though google and my gps said otherwise. Who'd a thunk?
The bike rolled past 20,000k today just as the sun came out. What a momentous occasion! At one point I was riding along in a single patch of sunlight for about a kilometre. It was like I was being beamed up.
I made it to Stellerton via back roads and dirt roads with only a few wrong turns so I should be good to go for the Ride for Sight.
